Pluggin’ away. The clay is really horrible, but it’s my fault for deciding to use a material I was warned against (Original Sculpey. I was stupid and bought the wrong kind without noticing).

I couldn’t resist. I’ve had the sculpting bug BAD for weeks now.

I sculpted this little dude out of a kneaded eraser during a tabletop gaming session (yes, I’m a nerd. Couldn’t you tell that from my artwork?).

If I may toot my own horn for a minute, I did it without reference. Of course, if I were sculpting “for reals” I’d have my anatomy books and equine photographs right at hand.

This one was inspired by Jeff’s Wayne’s musical War of the Worlds. The destructive power of synths!

I need a better photo, but you get the idea! This is a portrait of the New Zealand flax (phormium tenax) that lives on our balcony.

I have a new sculpture project in the works that I’m pretty excited about. I’m taking my caricature skills to 3D!
